Trump Could Be Denied Bail and Held without a Trial…

We all know that former President Donald Trump has been indicted. But just how far could it go? According to one source, it may be possible that Trump will be denied bail and held behind bars until his trial.

Word of this comes from independent journalist Julie Kelly who discussed the possibility on Sunday with Breitbart News.

Of course, she is not the only one who has thought of such a thing. But as one of the more knowledgeable sources, her insight is interesting, to be sure.

Naturally, Kelly was discussing the current and ongoing investigation into Trump by special prosecutor and leftist attack dog Jack Smith. Supposedly the investigation is to determine more about the so-called classified documents found in Trump’s home in South Florida.

However, as we all know, that’s only part of the story. The other bit is how the political left will handle Trump’s supposed involvement in the infamous January 6, 2021, Capitol incursion. Smith has already made it clear he’s no Trump fan and will therefore hit him with whatever is necessary.

Of course, this perfectly aligns with what we all imagined would happen if Trump decided to run for the Oval Office again. The left is in a flurry to do whatever possible to ensure he goes down in flames, never to run for office again.

It’s also the reason Kelly says Smith could up the ante, so to speak.

Along with charging him for whatever crimes he is imagining and supposedly finding proof of, it wouldn’t be all that unsurprising if he also requested that Trump be held behind bars until the time of his trial without bail.

Now usually, special circumstances must exist for this kind of request to be granted. You know, things like the accused being a flight risk or extremely dangerous, both of which will undoubtedly be said of Trump.

But as Kelly points out, they may not necessarily need such circumstances seeing as how there is already such a precedent set for all those involved with J6.

Take the case of William Chrestman, a Kansas City Proud Boys member and a Trump supporter, for example. Chrestman is still sitting in jail in Washington, DC., awaiting trial for his involvement in the January 6 incursion. And according to Chrestman’s mother, there isn’t much hope of him ever really getting out.

According to Judge Beryl Howell, who presided over Chrestman’s case, his “conduct on January 6 and blatant disregard for the law clearly show that he is a serious danger to the community and the nation…” And so he will sit behind bars “pending trial in this matter.”

It is noted that the same judge said during the same ruling that someone “who assumed either a formal or a de facto leadership role in the assault by encouraging other rioters’ misconduct, for example, by urging rioters to advance on the Capitol or to confront law enforcement, may have inspired further criminal conduct on the part of others.”

Clearly, we can all assume that “someone” is Trump. As such, she would likely see him as even more dangerous than Chrestman, choosing to make him sit behind bars as well.

And as Kelly wrote, this same ruling has justified the “pretrial detention for more than 100 January 6 defendants, including those accused of committing no violence.”

So yeah, I’d say it’s more than a possibility that Smith would attempt to hold Trump without bail until trial. And again, I don’t think any of us would really be surprised.

Of course, none of that stops him from running or even winning the Oval Office. In fact, from jail, where most Republicans believe he’d be wrongly held, he’d probably be even harder to beat.

But that doesn’t mean those like Smith or the rest of the political left will apply that logic. For them, this may be just too much of a temptation. Unfortunately for them, it could very well mean their downfall.

It would also mean that, come another Trump presidency, you can pretty much bet that both Joe and Hunter Biden will have similar cells in Washington, DC.
