Congressional hearings are suddenly fun to watch again, now that Republicans have taken control of the House. Many of the most popular conservative firebrands from across the country are on the House Oversight Committee, and they’ve wasted no time getting down to business.

They just dragged a group of the recently-fired Twitter censorship bosses in for a hearing, and it was the best thing that many people have seen on TV in a long time. They roasted the former execs for violating the First Amendment and meddling in the 2020 election.

The former Twitter execs who were called on the carpet included Yoel Roth, the former head of Twitter’s Trust & Safety Council; Vijaye Gadde, Twitter’s main censorship overlord; and James Baker, the former FBI general counsel who was up to his eyeballs in crafting the fake Russia collusion hoax against President Donald Trump. They didn’t have a very good day.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) pointed out that Twitter willingly censored the Hunter Biden laptop story at the behest of the FBI. Twitter and its Democrat Party fans used to argue repeatedly that since Twitter is a private company, it can censor anyone it wants. But what about when the federal government steps in and directly tells a private company to censor something? It’s hard to imagine a clearer violation of the First Amendment.

The fact that Twitter censored the Hunter Biden laptop story a month before the 2020 election raises the criminality of Twitter’s censorship even further. This was violating the First Amendment to interfere with a presidential election, according to Rep. Clay Higgins (R-AL). Higgins told the squirming execs:

“You, ladies and gentlemen, interfered with the United States of America 2020 presidential election, knowingly and willingly. That’s the bad news, it’s gonna get worse because this is the investigation part. Later comes the arrest part.”

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), a hardcore MAGA freshman congresswoman, tied the execs in knots. She exposed the data that Twitter execs had been communicating with a host of government agencies on a secret encrypted server on an almost daily basis before the 2020 election. Twitter was communicating day and night with the government on which Trump supporters and conservative voters to censor, shadow-ban, or block entirely from the platform, based on how popular they were with others.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) at one point shouted, “Who the HELL do you people think you are?”

Twitter censored Boebert during the early part of her 2022 campaign – a campaign where she won reelection by just 500 votes after a recount. They also took a sitting president off the platform entirely, simply because they didn’t like his politics and because the Deep State didn’t want Trump to be able to communicate with his followers.

But perhaps one of the best rounds of questioning from GOP reps didn’t involve any questions at all. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is perhaps the most censored member of Congress. Her personal account, which she used for fundraising and to run her campaign, was taken down by Twitter after they allowed groups like the ADL to spread vicious lies about her.

Rep. Greene actually made Yoel Roth start to cry when she noted that he censored her while allowing child pornography to flourish on Twitter. She didn’t actually ask them any questions, she just berated them for an epic five minutes!

Watch as Marjorie Taylor Greene shows the Democrat Party shills who used to work at Twitter that the new GOP majority is in control – and they’re coming after these enemies of freedom.
