Canadian U.S. Commentator Lauren Chen criticized the “disturbing” activities at U.S. pride events following street celebrations in San Francisco and Toronto, where there were reports of “sexual acts” and full frontal nudity.
Despite being advertised as family-friendly, these parades sparked concern among many Americans due to multiple incidents of public nudity and sexually explicit performances.
Organizers of one pride event at Toronto’s Church Street School boasted that the “family-friendly” atmosphere included storytelling, magic shows, face painting, and “so much more.”
Chen is shocked by the “so much more” promised at the event. During a recent interview with GBNA Host Tom Harwood, she noted that pride events aren’t just about people dressing in drag or wearing rainbow clothing anymore. Now, she says, we are witnessing explicit sexual acts and full nudity. There have even been reports of disturbing incidents like people urinating in others’ mouths at these pride parades.
Chen told Harwood that it’s especially shocking because many parades are advertised as family-friendly events. Despite children being present, there are reports of sexual acts, nudity, and even incidents like urination happening. This has led many people to question why such things are allowed at these parades.
Thinking about laws that regulate public behavior and the inappropriate actions at these events, Chen pointed out that laws against public indecency seem to be overlooked during Pride celebrations. She also questioned whether this trend towards more extreme behavior reflects the entire LGBT movement today.
“Is this what we are supposed to take away from things like pride and the rainbow flags? Just utter depravity?” Chen asked, adding, “It seems like the argument for simple equality has taken a backseat to now trying to push the envelope for, again, these disgusting acts.”
However, Chen warns that these activities are no longer confined to Canada and the United States. She warned Harwood that Britons should be prepared for increased efforts from transgender activists to promote their message.
She worries that what’s going on in the US might happen in the UK, too, pointing to places like San Francisco as examples of where things might be heading. She guessed that London could see similar changes in the next five years, just like what’s happening now in San Francisco.
She noted that events are becoming more perverse each year, with the United States leading the way. Chen mentioned seeing footage from the UK showing men in speedos engaging in acts during Pride parades.
She’s not alone in questioning the motives of allegedly “pride-themed” activities. Americans have been shocked at LGBTQ+ actions over the past few years.
Activists openly talk about their plans to involve children in the movement. Last summer, LGBTQ activists taking part in New York City’s annual Drag March on Friday caused controversy by chanting, “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children” in a Manhattan park.
The marchers paraded through Tompkins Square Park in the East Village as part of the city’s 2023 Pride Month celebrations.
Videos of the march show people laughing and joining in with the playful chant, including one woman dancing without a top.
In 2023, the Biden administration tried to promote inclusivity, but it went wrong when a transgender influencer removed their shirt on the White House lawn. Rose Montoya defended their action, saying they wanted to stand with transgender men showing their surgical scars.
In the United States, some people are resisting efforts to introduce children to LGBTQ+ ideas. Concerned parents are protesting events like “Drag Queen Story Hour” and laws that stop schools from telling parents if their child wants to identify with a different gender. It’s seen as a deliberate attack on what’s considered appropriate behavior, and according to Chen, things are getting ‘wilder” every year.
Chen, a Canadian, represents how international observers see America’s efforts for “gender equality.” As LGBTQ+ activism intensifies to extreme and sometimes shocking levels in the United States, it’s causing concern globally.
Once a respected superpower, America is now the “bad influence” your mother warned you about when you were a kid.
