One of the biggest frustrations of the French people during the 2024 Olympics was how their government dealt with all the homeless people. The government spent years not doing anything about homelessness, and then suddenly, the homeless all disappeared before a big tourist event. This has people already speculating about what’s going to happen in Los Angeles in four years when the 2028 Olympics roll around.
Seriously, what did happen to all those homeless people in France? Did they mulch them?
The problem in Los Angeles is expected to be enormous compared to what France just went through. There are currently an estimated 69,000 homeless people in the city right now. It’s the largest homeless population in the country. That number is not expected to go down in four years.
It’s expected to balloon to 100,000 people by 2028. The policies of Gov. Gavin Newsom, L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, and the communist California legislature are doing nothing to address the astronomical housing crisis in their state.
It costs $4,000 to rent a home in Los Angeles right now. The reason for this is a housing shortage that has been driven by decades of sanctuary state policies. California allows illegal aliens to come in at a rate much faster than the construction industry can build new housing units.
The problem is exacerbated by the high costs of construction after three years of Bidenflation. Plus, the approval process to build new housing takes years because of California’s environmental laws. If you started right now, you might be able to get a new home built in California before the 2028 Olympics.
Not that that will do the homeless people any good. What do you think is going to happen? Will Los Angeles make 100,000 people disappear right before the 2028 Olympics? Or will they just give up and let the homeless run wild during events like this one:
