Even if you can afford to take a vacation this summer in Joe Biden’s economy (which most Americans cannot), you might want to cross New York City off the list of possible destinations. That’s because it has never been more expensive at any time in history to book a hotel room in the Big Apple. Twenty percent of the hotels in New York City are now packed to the gills with Joe Biden’s illegal alien invaders.
The average price for a one-night hotel in New York City increased to $301.61 in 2023. That was an 8.5% increase from the previous record of $277.92, which was set in 2022. The reason for the skyrocketing cost is that 20% of the city’s hotels are now set aside exclusively for Joe Biden’s illegal aliens.
It’s estimated that around 65,000 illegals are now being provided with taxpayer-funded hotel rooms at a staggering cost of $10 billion per year. This has been a boon for struggling hotels that were able to secure a contract with the city mayor’s office, but it’s bad news for travelers hoping to stay in New York City.
The city council didn’t help the situation last September when it passed a new law that crushed the short-term rental market. Local Law 18 forced the closure of 18,542 Airbnb rentals in the city, which took away yet another affordable travel stay option for tourists.
This problem could be easily remedied once President Trump is back in the White House. He can simply send the military to the hotels that are exclusively catering to illegal aliens and round them all up for deportation. That will be much easier than tracking down all the got-aways that have disappeared into the shadows.
