AOC Blows a Gasket for Omar

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has noticed that her normal levels of outrage just aren’t having the same impact they once did. Now she needs to add some dance with the same old song so people will look. On February 2nd, she brought the new routine to the House floor for all to see.

With the race card as her main song, AOC wanted to rant and rave about fellow Democrat and member of “The Squad” Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-IL) being voted off the House Foreign Affairs Committee. This time she completely blew a gasket though. Visibly shaking through her rant and trying to emphasize her point with poor body language made this more sad than laughable.

Claiming the GOP was “targeting women of color,” Republicans were quick to point out her record of antisemitic as well as anti-American remarks as the true catalyst of her departure. In turn, AOC tried claiming Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) had been elevated to similar positions but had a record of making controversial statements about the Jewish people.

With the party line 218-211 vote, AOC took the House floor to rant about the “disgusting” history of “targeting and racism against Muslim Americans,” after 9/11. “I think one of the things that we should talk about here is also one of the disgusting legacies after 9/11 — has been the targeting and racism against Muslim Americans throughout the United States of America. And this is an extension of that legacy!”

She also targeted Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) over an old carton he shared that showcased anime characters killing one another. One of the characters looked somewhat like AOC and she took great offense to it. “Consistency? There is nothing consistent with the Republican Party’s continued attack, except for the racism and incitement of violence against women of color in this body. I had a member of the Republican Caucus threaten my life and the Republican Caucus rewarded him with one of the most prestigious committee assignments in this Congress.”

Climaxing her speech in front of the House, she proclaimed “This is about targeting women of color in the United States of America! Don’t tell me because I didn’t get a single apology when my life was threatened!” With a spanking of the lectern with her notebook, she tried adding extra emphasis to make her climax more dramatic, but it fell flat for most members of Congress.

As time expired, her attempts to stick up for Omar didn’t make the mark except for fellow Democrats. While some have tried likening her to great civil rights leaders, her performances as of late have come up short of their legacy. If anything, she is consistently contradictory. She and the rest of the late refuse to identify what a “woman” is, but they love proclaiming themselves as women.

Coming to Omar’s defense is an idea that makes sense to nobody but AOC and the Squad. Her voting record and history of statements have run contradictory to the American way since she first entered politics. Yet the tone-deaf people of Illinois keep voting for her because she’s a Democrat.

AOC’s rant needs to be seen to be believed:
