President Joe Biden has opened the floodgates at the southern border. He invited migrants to the north, hoping they would flood the country and put tremendous pressure on the immigration system. He made plans to bus the illegals to the country’s interior and demanded that local governments take care of them. But what he did not do was bus the illegals to Democratic-controlled areas because he did not want to burden them with the people.
It did not take long for state governors like Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott to start sharing the load of illegals. Both governors loaded up buses and sent them to places ruled by Democrats. They were sent to sanctuary cities that are designated as illegal safe zones.
Liberals set up Sanctuary cities because they did not like how former President Donald Trump focused on deportations. The liberals boasted of the safety of the locations, but they were not willing to open those places to the massive amounts of illegals waiting for their time in court.
New York City is a sanctuary location. The place is supposed to welcome those that are illegals. But Mayor Eric Adams complained about the illegals coming to his city because he did not want to care for them. He believes that Republican states should be the only ones to deal with the influx of people.
The clueless mayor found out that one of the illegals took his own life at one of the shelters set up in the city. And instead of looking at ways to improve the type of care people were getting, he wanted to pass the blame to Greg Abbott for sending the person to New York City.
Fox News reported that Mayor Adams stated, “The thousands of asylum seekers we have seen arrive in our city came to this country seeking a better life. Sadly though, yesterday, an asylum seeker in one of our facilities took her own life. Our hearts break for this young woman and any loved ones she may have, and we, as a city, mourn her. This tragedy is a reminder that we must do everything in our power to help those in need.”
Adams made it sound like he cared about the young person that took their life. But in all reality, all he wanted to do was make a political statement about the incident.
Adams finally reached the point when he stated, “The failure was the governors that sent people on a multi-day bus ride without proper food, medical care, and basic necessities. That’s the failure. And we didn’t fail in this city. This city is helping people. I think the governor of Texas and others are at fault for creating this man-made humanitarian crisis.”
The part that Adams will not admit is that his beloved president is why the illegal was in the country in the first place. She believed she could start a new life and get all kinds of free stuff when she arrived. But all she got was a bed at a shelter and left to find her way without help.
Abbott’s office responded with the truth and placed the blame on the root of the problem, which was the open border to the south. Biden has conveniently opened the border, letting illegals flow into the country. They believe Biden will make them millionaires, but all they are getting is more poverty and a criminal record for breaking American immigration laws.
The only way the illegal problem will stop is when the southern border is finally secured. The flow of illegals had been stopped, and for the first time in several years, people living at the border had a safe place to live. All Biden has to do is return the border to how Donald Trump left it when he stepped out of office.
Joe Biden made the mess and will have to answer for the deaths under his watch. His open border policy is nothing more than a death sentence for people seeking a better life for themselves.
