Joe Biden is a joke of a world leader – and every leader in the world knows it. He’s old, he’s frail, and his mental decline has been on full display for longer than any American wants to admit. He should be stepping down so that the U.S. has a fighting chance of surviving, but his pride and ego won’t allow him to do so.
In the past, when there was a major meeting or a significant amount of travel, Kamala Harris is typically tapped to go. However, that leads to even more discussion about whether Biden is capable of leading the United States.
There’s no reason that the VP should be meeting with the presidents and prime ministers of other countries. It should be our president that is doing the meeting.
So, as NATO meets to determine how to proceed with Ukraine, and as world leaders discuss what is to be done about Russia, Biden has decided that he’s going to take a trip to Europe.
Brace yourself. The last time he traveled overseas, he forgot the names of world leaders. He even dozed off a few times in important meetings.
So, why is it that he’s going to go? Because he has no choice. And there’s no way to send anyone else without admitting that we have a weak president.
Where’s he going? Well, he’s not going to be going into Ukraine because it would be too dangerous. He has, however, identified that he will be visiting both Brussels and Poland.
According to press secretary Jen Psaki, he will be talking with NATO and other allies to determine the most diplomatic path forward.
Breitbart News reported that “the president is a big believer in face-to-face diplomacy so it’s an opportunity to do exactly that.”
Psaki has said that nothing has changed in terms of Biden’s diplomatic ambitions. He will be meeting with President Andrzej Duda of Poland in Warsaw, where they will be talking about imposing “severe and unprecedented costs on Russia for its invasion.”
Many believe that Putin will be invading Poland in the near future if he is capable of conquering Ukraine. This means that Biden’s travel plans will need to remain fluid. After all, while he may be on the mental decline, there are still others who will determine whether Biden actually lands in Poland or not.
Psaki explained that one of the reasons for Biden’s trip is to discuss with allies and partners how they are going to deal with Russia. Putin, of course, is responsible for the “unjustified and unprovoked” war on Ukraine – and it has led to an unthinkable humanitarian crisis as people flee from Ukraine and the rest of the region.
Antony Blinken, the U.S. Secretary of State, was in Poland earlier this month and crossed into Ukraine to show solidarity alongside the foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba. Poland plays a vital role in all of this as they have been vocal in expressing to NATO nations that it’s critical to protect Ukraine.
In addition to meeting with leaders from Ukraine and Poland, Biden will also be meeting with the prime ministers of the UK and Italy, the chancellor of Germany, and the president of France.
The only thing we can ask for now is that Biden gets a good night’s sleep so that he doesn’t embarrass us as he has on previous trips.
